Interesting Story - Minnesotan inmates will be making lanterns:

Regarding the project at Federal Medical Center. S. Viatrix Mach has been volunteering her time for a number of years, teaching the inmates the art of calligraphy. A few years ago, she asked them if they would like to decorate the paper shades for the lanterns. They were just beautiful. She is going to have them do that again this year. She then brings them to the event where persons attending the ceremony carry them to the lake.
